Sweet Couple

Two 50 m tall concrete sugar silos from the former CSM factory in Halfweg (near Amsterdam) are converted into modern office buildings. I think they still look pretty sweet (even better than before!)

Het Mannetje

I'll have to admit that I didn't like this statue when I saw it for the first time. But sometimes you need a bit more time to get used to something special. My first impression was that this statue (called 'Het mannetje van Hoofddorp', or - little man from Hoofddorp) was a Michelin man rip-off. But now I am starting to like this little man and I get a bit angry when I see that some people are trying to damage this statue (there's some orange paint on the other side, so I couldn't take nice pictures from the front - silly vandals!)
